Garmin Announced as Headline Sponsor for J Cup UK and J Cup Ireland 2026

Key Yachting is delighted to announce Garmin® as the Headline Sponsor for both the J Cup UK and J Cup Ireland events in 2026, reinforcing a shared commitment to innovation, performance, and the continued growth of competitive keelboat racing.

Building on the momentum of a landmark year for the J Cup calendar, the 2026 editions promise two outstanding regattas in iconic sailing venues:

As Headline Sponsor, Garmin will support both events with on-site expertise and insights into its leading range of refined sailing electronics, with dedicated sailing features like Race Start Guidance, Laylines and over 400 Preloaded Polars. Competitors can also look forward to Garmin prizes at the events.

“Garmin represents the cutting edge of sailing technology, and we are thrilled to welcome them as Headline Sponsor for both the UK and Irish J Cups,” said Bill Stringer, Key Yachting Managing Director. “Their commitment to the sport and innovation makes them a natural partner as we continue to grow and evolve the J Cup series.”

“We’re excited to support these J Cup events, known for close racing and lively shoreside entertainment,” said Nick Meadow, Marine Manager, Garmin UK and Ireland. “Sailing is integral to Garmin, and this is the perfect environment to demonstrate how Garmin marine electronics can enhance boat performance.”

With strong class racing expected across fleets including the J/109 and J/111, sailors can look forward to tight competition, excellent race management and the renowned J Cup social atmosphere.

Demand for both events is expected to be high, reflecting the strong J Boats community and the J Cup legacy.
